Old School playing Mount Prospect Downtown Block Party

Hey everyone! It’s been a bit due to some health issues and what not, but we have some news to share! Old School will be playing the Mount Prospect Downtown Block Party again this year, from 6:30 to 8:20 PM on July 25th. Mark your calendars now so you don’t miss it. Check the Events page for all the details.

In other news, I think it’s past time to stop calling Meg Shanahan a guest. She’s a part of the band, and a great addition at that! She brings a lot to the show, and we enjoy performing with her.

And yet more news. On keys, welcome Jim Gaynor. He joined us for the Durty Nellie’s gig earlier in the year. Having keys fills in the missing pieces in some of our material, and allows us to branch out into areas we couldn’t before. If you like to hear the B3 scream, Jim’s your man!

That’s it for now. Stay tuned as we get closer and start nailing down the set list. See you on July 25th!

Old School at Durty Nellie’s Friday April 4th

Hey everybody! Old School will be at Durty Nellie’s on April 4th, 7 to 9PM. We will be joined by Meg Shanahan again, who we keep calling a special guest, but is starting to feel like a normal member of the band. We might also have a keyboard player with us; you’ll have to come out to see if it happens! Durty Nellie’s feels like home for Old School, and we’re looking forward to a great night. Make sure you’re there. All the info can be found on the Events page. We’re opening for Mr Blotto, Chicago’s original jam band. Don’t miss this great night of rock ‘n’ roll!
